Sincerity

I'm going to write about something I heard today. Someone said, (I can't remember the exact quote so I'm just giving you the basics)"Once you learn how to fake sincerity, the rest comes easy." It made me think a bit; do people actually try to master being sincere? Are we living our lives around people who are disconnected with themselves so much that they need to master faking sincerity to feel as if they have a one up on others? I do know someone who is so good at making you feel good, as if they care about you, when in actuality they are just telling you that just so you won't get upset. It's obvious that they have other interests but just keep you around because you are actually a really good person to them, but instead of returning the favor you are just on the back burner. The sneaky part of it all is that, when they're near you they can make you feel like the most important person in the world. Now how fucked up is that?
It's pretty bad, but I'm starting to get the notion that it's just the way life is. Fuck it.

Sick Vick

I've been briefly following the story on Michael Vick, being that i am an avid animal lover. I was astonished when i stumbled upon an article on MSN giving a quick overview of his abuse. I remember hearing something in my psychology class relating animal abuse to serial killers, and other violent criminals. The worst part of the article was the comments by Stephon Marbury, which is one of Vick's friends.
He said,"I think we don't say anything about people who shoot deer or shoot other animals," the Knick point guard told Capital News 9, an Albany TV station. "You know, from what I understand, dogfighting is a sport. It's just behind closed doors."

The argument about Vick is not that fact that he was dogfighting, people have their own views on that being a sport, my view is any sport that condones the death of another animal in violent fighting is not right. People have hunted since the beginning of time to survive. It has now become more of a trend to hunt for sport but there are also laws regarding hunting as well. Hunting is a far cry from drowning a helpless animal because it fails to meet your fighting standard or tying a bitch to a poll because she declines a certain mate,so that she can have a train run on her. It's preposterous and studies have shown that people who associate themselves with behavior abusive to animals tend to later in their life become abusive or violent toward humans.

I took the liberty of snatching a quote from a site i passed over on that topic.

"Anyone who has accustomed himself to regard the life of any living creature as worthless is in danger of arriving also at the idea of worthless human lives," wrote humanitarian Dr. Albert Schweitzer. "Murderers ... very often start out by killing and torturing animals as kids," according to Robert K. Ressler, who developed profiles of serial killers for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

If we continue to let this behavior exist in the entertainment world, what will our children think about the people they obviously look up to, and mold their lives around?

News Flash

This is the start of a new and healthy relationship...Blogging has found its place in my heart as an easy way to get my views across, a diversion from my everyday life. I will post regularly on topics that come to my mind, some may seem a tad bit controversial, but i do not give a...well you know what i mean. I am just so sick of people always worrying about someone getting upset by what they say or write;this is the world so get used to it. You will not always agree with me and that is fine, I love feedback, it is really the only reason i started a blog in the first place.

No one can actually hold a decent debate anymore. I mean look, our own president can't even articulate properly, this comes from the poor quality of education we Americans are offered. Try taking the tests to become a citizen, normal Americans would bomb it, where as those from other countries score high. We do not even know our own history...Some People we are.

What do you have to say about rights, adoption, taxes, same sex marriages, freedom of speech, the Real Estate Market,Stock market, Fashion Trends, and our President? An abundance of people have plenty to say about these topics, I'm sure, but ironically we can't even get the Minorities to vote, in turn, spiraling the presidential race into a joke because if those minorities actually voted there would be a completely different outcome in the race itself.

So who cares? Everyone. Who has balls to do something about it? Probably a select few.
We are in a downward spiral to destruction and we only have ourselves to blame. When did it become wrong to want to live in a nice home on a middle class Americans salary? When did become prevalent to us that we had to live in a high class community to attain a substantial education? Last but not least, when the hell did financial aid become a loan that you had to pay back? These are just a few interests that have popped into my mind, I touched on them briefly but will further expand my view points at a later date.
